A letter from the President
Dear Tri Delta Sisters and Friends,
I hope you are all managing to stay safe and healthy during this challenging spring and summer we are having. Who could have imagined that our lives would be so drastically impacted by this COVID-19 pandemic?
We have just wrapped up our historic first LEADD and virtual convention. While it was impossible to duplicate the experience of being together in person, our Executive Office did an outstanding job of conducting the business in this new format and voting was done electronically on Saturday and was completed without a hitch.
August marks the time when we begin to collect our dues for the coming year. Your dues help us to provide rewarding and beneficial programs for each member as well as allows us to meet our obligations to National. Membership is important now more than ever as we look to connect with sisters during these challenging times. We have an exciting year ahead of us to continue our purpose of being brave, bold, and kind women. We can make a difference in the world today through every interaction that we have in our personal and professional lives and leading by example.
During LEADD, we had best-selling author AmyK Hutchens kick off the day with a compelling and energetic keynote titled “GET IT: Master Your Communication, Master Your Life.” She suggested that it is a technical foul to say during these unusual times that “We are all in the same boat.” My goal as your President is to be an intentional leader who leans into the needs of each sister. I recognize during these unusual times that we are not all in the same boat. Some of you may be on the front lines while others have children at home, some are juggling work priorities while maintaining the needs of your family and others may feel isolated and lonely. Wherever you are during this pandemic, I want you to bring YOU. Bring your journey to shed light on where you are during this storm so as your sisters, we can unit and rally behind one another.
I am willing to be here as a sounding board for every sister. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking for participation because every voice matters. We will need to have critical conversations to reach the desired outcomes for the future of our Chapter.
I wish you a wonderful remainder of this summer. Stay safe and sane!
With steadfast love and kindness,
